SMALL MOMENTS · REAL SIGNALS
The things a résumé cannot hold.
There is room here for noise and quiet, a hard day and a good one, and the things that are worth protecting even when they do not fit into a professional biography.
01 · THE SEA
Get on some fish. Make it back.
“Wasn't the prettiest trip, but we got on some fish and made it back safely.”
Zackery's archived public post · 2 April 2025 · verbatim transcription, source URL not independently rechecked
Fishing has been both work and an outdoors life: Gulf waters, Bristol Bay salmon, the weather and conditions that decide what a day asks of you. A safe return counts as a win. So does finding a morning worth stopping to notice.
“You don't catch the mornings like this very often.”

02 · DOGS & THE SMALL WINS
A full food bowl matters.
“Did a little thrifting today! The dogs have plenty of food and everything is looking up.”
Zackery's archived public post · 13 November 2025 · verbatim transcription, source URL not independently rechecked
My dogs are part of my home and my sense of responsibility. So are small repairs, making a space better, making a dollar stretch and finding reason to be glad of an ordinary day. Happiness does not have to arrive wrapped in a grand achievement.

03 · THE SOUNDTRACK
Make room for loud music.
Hip-hop, poetry, singing, dancing, and music across styles: these are not a footnote to the serious work. Mac Miller is part of my recorded musical interests. The earliest remembered soundtrack in my memoir involves my mother enjoying Meat Loaf, the guitar riffs of Bat Out of Hell, and the album cover I associate with crawling age.
Those are author-reported memories, not a confirmed childhood recording or an exact song identification. No copyrighted audio or album artwork is embedded here.
My own archived posts record that even a short drive could take longer to choose a song for than the drive itself.

04 · WORLDS TO GET LOST IN
Play is how imagination moves.
My documented favorites have included God of War, Fallout, Assassin’s Creed, Age of Empires, The Sims, Command & Conquer, and more. I have enjoyed tabletop role-playing, strategy, simulation, long-form stories and the possibility of choosing who to become inside another world. One Piece is also in my archived favorites.
These are reported interests, not official endorsements or affiliations with their creators. I can take questions of choice, consequence and world-building seriously—and still play for the fun of it.

05 · WORKING HANDS
Before the title came the work.
I have described summer pool-and-spa work at fifteen, learning routes, time and responsibility early. That recollection is my account, without independent employment-record confirmation. Later chapters include CH-47 Army aviation maintenance, civilian aircraft work, kitchens and restaurant operations, skilled trades, fishing decks and the beginning of Veritas.
The job titles tell you what I did. They do not tell the whole story of what it cost, what it taught, or how I saw myself while doing it. That is why the memoir stays open.

06 · FAITH, QUESTIONS & THE UNKNOWN
Belief doesn't end the question.
My personal spiritual identity includes describing myself as psychic and a medium. That is how I describe experiences in my own life; it is not independent proof of a supernatural mechanism and is never required of a reader. I am curious about ancient traditions, the cosmos, history, religion, mythology, human dignity and the limits of what people claim to know.
Faith belongs with humility. My interpretation is mine. Everyone else has the right to a different path, including no spiritual belief at all.
